Hello! 👋 I'm Melissa Huertas, graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Medical Sciences.

I studied a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, where I did an internship at the Andrés Bello University in Chile, where I was able to attend several hospitals and that's where I fell in love with psychiatry.

I completed my postgraduate degree in Psychiatry at the University of Costa Rica (graduation with honors) where I trained at the National Mental Health Hospital (former National Psychiatric Hospital), I worked at this center for four years.

I have participated in rotation programs in the psychiatric wing of Hennepin County Hospital, in Minnesota, USA and I have experience working as a forensic psychiatry expert for the Judiciary.

I currently work in the hospitalization and outpatient psychiatry services at the San Juan de Dios hospital

I love everything that involves dogs, going to the beach, hiking, food and discovering new places.
